What it does

How was your skin a month ago? When did you start that cream? What changes in the days before your period? Skinjot keeps it all in one place.

A few seconds a day

Rate your skin from 1 to 5, and add a photo and a short note if you like.

  • The camera shows your previous photo as a faint overlay, so you line your face up in the same place.
  • Tag stress, short sleep, dairy or a new product with one tap.
  • Optionally add the day's humidity and UV, and your sleep from Apple Health.

See patterns on a calendar

Your entries sit on a calendar next to your cycle phases, so you can see which days were hard over months.

  • Cycle tracking is optional. Turn it off and it disappears.
  • Compare two days side by side in your photo history, or turn a period of photos into a timelapse.

Your routine in one place

Add products by barcode or by photographing the label. Reminders for pills, creams and serums live here too.

  • See which ingredients the products you used during harder stretches have in common.
  • Get a note when your routine combines actives that are often discussed together, like retinol and AHAs.
  • Get a heads-up before a product's period after opening (6M, 12M) runs out.

Arrive prepared

Skinjot turns the entries from a period you choose into a short summary and PDF you can show your dermatologist.

  • Score changes, days that overlap with your cycle, and the products and medication you used, on one page.
  • Exam Mode puts the last 90 days on a single screen you can hand across the desk.

Your records stay with you

Skin photos and period dates are personal. Skinjot is built around that.

Encrypted on your phone

Your entries and photos are stored encrypted on your device. You can lock the app with Face ID.

AI only when you ask

AI runs only when you use an AI feature. Only what that task needs is sent, over an encrypted connection, and photo analysis asks for your consent first.

No ads, no data sales

We don't show ads, we don't sell your data and we don't use third-party analytics.

Optional context

Your location is never stored for weather. Apple Health is read-only; nothing is written to it.

Skinjot doesn't diagnose. It shows what you recorded as observations, and you make decisions with your dermatologist.

The app won't say "this product caused your breakout". It will say "your scores were higher on days you used this product". Things that happen on the same days don't necessarily cause each other.

Skinjot is not a medical device and doesn't recommend treatments or doses. Its job is to let you answer "how was last month?" from your records instead of your memory.

Questions

Who is Skinjot for?

Anyone who wants to keep track of how their skin changes, especially people with recurring breakouts, sensitivity or skin that shifts with their cycle, and people who see a dermatologist regularly.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Skinjot is for iPhone (iOS 17 or later).

What does the AI see?

Only what the task you started needs, for example the photo and the context you chose for a photo reading. Photo analysis asks for your consent the first time, and you can keep it switched off.

What happens to my records if I change phones?

In Settings you can export a password-encrypted backup and restore it on your new phone with the same password. We never see your password, so if you forget it the backup can't be opened.

How does my dermatologist see the report?

Save it as a PDF and send it by email or message, or show Exam Mode on your phone during the appointment.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile › Settings › Delete My Account. Your account and all records on the device are permanently deleted. See Help for details.
